I had a french angel for about 6 months.Everything was fine with him then he got a slight coudiness in his eye.Lfs said to treat with copper, thats what I did and it devolped into popeye.Eye got larger. Then treated with furan 2 basicly may have done something,Eye has cleared up very little. Now I look at the fish and he actually has air bubbles inside his eye!!!!I am going to treat with maracyn. He will be moved to an emergency Qt tank and I will treat him there. My questions are:Am I on the right track with the meds? What would cause this? How do I prevent it from happening again? If you know of something that would work better please let me know.I just am at witts end and I am ready to throw in the towel with swf. Please help any info would be great.

You need to use Maracyn 2 for Saltwaterfish. Double dose every day for 5-7 days. Just prior to redosing, do a water change, and, if you can, use carbon filtration for a couple of hours just prior to a redose, then redose. You can not use carbon during the treatment, but it is good to clean up the antibiotic residue just prior to redose.
How are the other fish in your tank? What is the water conditions in your tank? What type of tank do you have?
Be sure to maintain good water conditions in the hospital tank. This is just as important as medicating.
