Emergency Tank!!??

I posted a few days ago about a sick heniochus and was basically told that any fish i purcahse will die without a QT. Well, today, I bought a 29 gal and set it up using my main tank water. How long does it have to cycle with my main tank water before adding the heni, I'm almost positive it has a bacterial infection and plan on trying antibiotics i purchased with the tank. The water that i added to QT has parms of :
Temp 80
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
Salinity 1.020
ph 8.0
Please respond ASAP

You basically can't wait for a cycle. You will have to do frequent water changes to keep water quality. Antibiotics will effect the biofilter that you have in the QT anyway.
How's the fish doing? Worse?

He's doing about the same. Still eating very eagerly, I guess that's kind of good. Twitching alot when he swims.

What do these blotches look like? A film or slime, or fading of the fish's color?

greyish white blothces over upper body and starting to look rough and pitty, if you kind of know what i mean sorry no pics. It is most noticable over the black stripes, but it is on some of the white also.
i bought a medication called Mardel Maroxy. It says it will help both fungus and bacteria and the active ingredient is Stabilized chlorine oxides. Any experience using this?? Thanx for help. If it's easier i'm on AOL instant messenger too as SWfishgirl.

I wish you could get a pic up. I'm wondering if it is HLLE. The fact that the fish is still eating and acting normal pretty much makes me wonder about the bacteria theory. By now, I would think that the fish would be sicker.
Again, does this area look like the upper skin layer has eroded away?

First off thanx for all your help. I have seen fish with HILLe before and it doesn't look like that to me , although I'm no expert. Actually, I was just watching him a few mins ago and noticed he is getting a small blotch near the bottom of his body now too. Look more like fading of his color, don't seem to be open wounds or anything?? Also is erratic twitching associated with HILLE? Still eating like a pig though, I added some seaweed selects about 20 mins ago he was grabbing at it before i even suctioned the clip to the glass!! LOL

I did a water change 4 days ago and again last nite when i used some of the main tank water to fill the QT. How long should I wait to see if there is any improvement? There is no blood at this time luckily.

I gave him a dose last nite and a dose this morning it says to administer for 5 days. I think it is working his blotches have faded alot, he is still twitching however. He is also still eating ok. I'll keep you posted, thanx.
