Does it look like melting ice cream yet? If so then just remove it, it will stink!. If however it still seems intact leave him alone.
Its probably going through acclimation shock and or just getting ready for a move. Very common to inflate and deflate when new to the aquarium..
Also if your going to have an anemone your going to HAVE to get test kits for calcium and alkalintiy. Both not just the alk. Also what measurement are you using for alk? meq/L or dKH?
Just my opinion but I have my doubts about 96 watts keeping an anemone alive long term.
Hard to really tell without a picture, post one if you can.

hmm really 96 watts isn't good enough? What should i do then? the tank isn't very deep. i'ds ay about 16" deep tops. maybe i measured that wrong but ya id's yaths right. its the highest light i could get for the tank. I didn't want to do MH i was worried about heat. the T5's already heat the tank up quite a bit. im meaureing in dKH i believe. What would you recomend i do then. this is basically a 29 nano tank but kinda on the cusp. I live in an apt so metal halide pendant fixtures etc are not an option. if you think MH is okay as far as heat transfer then i will totally spring for some. i dont want to blind my fish/corals though.

Well I nearly killded a BTA with only 80 watts of lights years ago, and it was normal lighting, but yours is still only 96 watts and only 16 watts more than what I had. It wasn't until I purchased VHO lighting of 360 watts that it started to thrive.
I'm also not experienced with the T-5 lighting, so its hard for me to make a true judgment on them. But given the watts, and no one seeming to know the PAR or PUR of T-5 bulbs its really hard to say. I'm a big fan of VHO and MH lighting though, I use both over my 90 and have been raising BTA's for 5.5 years.
I'd at least look into a 24 inch 4 bulb retro fit kit in the VHO.
What other corals do you have?

My anemones shrink up, then become all full again every couple of days. Expelling the water, and filling up with new. (I beleive this is why they do this) But I have lost one before, and it will turn gooey if it is dead. Looked to me like jelly.
