Is this the same emperor you told you purchased as a 3 inch juvi? BTW My brother just picked up 4 inch emperor in juvi colors but you can see the yellow starting to come in. I going to have to keep him for while becuase he needs to move his tank . Hopefully hell get along with my other angels.

Hey Peter - yeah this is the same guy! He has gone through battles. He and my powder blue tang were my first saltwater fish (I got lucky and did a ton of reading first).
I think that you should be ok with them. I would be more worried about the emperor picking on the rest of them. It is funny, mine cruises around the tank and all the other fish just steer clear (except the Naso...he just wants fish to love him
)
you should take pics of the new guys

thats kind of the same way the other fish react to my blue ring ...no one , not even the even the queen has dared to harras him. they just glide by each other and stare but no one flinches!!! all three are getting alone right now.. my brother's emperor is slightly larger than the french so hopefully that will help. I also just got about 100 pounds of rock from a guy who was moving so ive been able to build plenty of hiding places . btw your emperor has awesome colors. do you know where its from? will post pictures as soon as my daughter lends me her dig camera.

Thanks for the kind remarks Peter. My emperor is my prized fish. The picture doesnt even do him justice. His yellows and blues are almost neon. What is even better is the fact that this was taken after I did a 6 week treatment of copper and he and the blueface got a mean case of HLLE. He has healed quite nicely.

Xtreme Garlic, lots of frozen food, Vitachem. The main reason they survived was the fact that had it during a prior copper application so I didnt freak out. I just slowly brought out the copper and kept them fed enough with their ammunity staying up.
