Hey just got an adult Emperor angel about 6 " in length and am currently keeping him in a 55 gallon as a QT, tank had been cycled for 2mos has about 80 lbs of rock 50 lbs of sand, and only one other fish. I was not planning on getting such a large one as normally my Qt is a 20 gallon long, however this fish is gorgeous, and I couldnt help myself once I was told I could have him for $110, I also live in NYS, so this was the buy of the year for me. Ive had angels before however never this big. Do you think hell be ok for 2 weeks in the 55, and then into the 180, or should I put him in sooner.
THanks FOr reading

keep him in your QT for at least 4 weeks. I would suggest getting Prazi pro in there to treat for worms and flukes.
Sounds awesome.

Is adding Prazi Pro something you do with all your angels? Are the angels particularly susceptible to worms and flukes? Thanks for your continuing advice.

I didnt do it before, but with the recent additions of my bandit pair and potters pair, I got an outbreak of flukes and it ended up taking one of my bandits and a potters.
I added the prazi pro to the tank and everyone is great now.
Going forward all fish will go through Prazi dip, prazi treated QT for 6 weeks.
