Emperor Angelfish

I just got a juvenile emperor angel and the top of him is starting to turn to what the adult emperor looks like-what I'm wondering is how long does it take for the emperor to change from the juvenile to the adult?

The top of the Juvi-Emperor is always faded. It just stays like that, until its older. He starts to change when he is much older. A fully matured Emperor will look like a totally different fish. Different patteren and colors and get around 10 inches. Here is a pic of a Juvi and a fully grown one. NICE
