emperor-treat or not treat

I posted this in fish discussion also. My newly purchased emperor angel from bali came with a growth on his lower lip. It started off a dark color, grew a bit and has tuned whitish and is now breaking up. The same seems to be happening to a lower fin. He's eating well and otherwise acting lively and normal. What can it be and should I treat it our continue to monitor w/ hopes that it will break up and not spread anymore? He is in a Q tank and will stay there until he's 100% well. Your thoughts w/b appreciated.

By "breaking up" do you mean healing? Getting better?

The growth was breaking up ...literally. I guess it was healing because as of today the growth on his lower lip is gone and it's now healing and looking good. The growth on lower fin is still there and showing no signs of breaking up or healing. Fish still vibrant and eating well. I'm going to wait this out while in Q tank and keep water pristine.
