emporer angel?

I have a 3 in juvi emporer angel-and its body has some real dull spots for a while now.. is this normal it seems that its brightness is faded.... anyone have any experiance

um.. do u mean it has like blotches on it all over?? cuzz if it is.. it's cause by bad water.... or u really shocked him somehow...look in the sticky trend on diseases on top of page ..maybe they can help..

too small to go through water change..usually when they are dull like that it is one of two things diet or water quality...maybe even ur tank isn't mature enough

tHANKS FOR THE REPLYS.... MY WATER QUALITY HAS BEEN REAL POOR LATLEY... I HAD SOME NITRITES & MY PH HAS BEEN REAL LOW. I JUST USED A BUFFER AND MY PH IS PERFECT BUT MY NITRATES SKYROCKETED.... COULD THIS BE THE CAUSE... DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS. OH YEA IM FEEDING FROZEN MYSIS, SILVERSIDES, BLOODWORMS,& ANGEL FORMULA SOMETIMES.

when i said water change i meant color change....my bad

These angels can also get "fright" spots due to stress. Water conditions can be perfect as well as diet...but if something or someone is spooking the angel it can develop the spots. Reason number 3.

Yes, they do not do well in higher nitrates.

yes but they also need sponge. the smaller pygmy angels don't.

your nitrate has "skyrocketed." lower it with Amquel. It doesnt affect live rock or inverts.
