Encourage Good Stuff To Grow

I am going to buy 50 lbs. of LR from this site in a week or two ... is there a chance any pretty things will come on these rocks or are they just brown rocks? Do I need to have any special kind of lighting that will help encourage good stuff to grow or put any kinds of supplements in the water?

Hey,
Don't know about the LR from this site. I like to see what I'm getting and know it is cured. As far as what to add, I've got 110lbs of LR in my tank. The only thing I'm adding right now is calcium and occasionally a pH buffer and my coraline algae is speading fast. All different colors too! BTW, I got all kinds of hitch-hikers on my LR and I'm sure you will too. HTH
