When the encysted parasites rupture, how long does it take for them to die if the MT has no host (fish)?

Yes (the tank has an SG of 1.022).

Hostless tank? I would say 3 weeks to a month and you should be good. Some say 48 hours but I would wait longer IMO just to make sure it is dead.
