Engineer goby swimming in circles?

I never ever see my engineer goby - but it just started coming out and swimming in circles, like it was chasing it's tail. Granted, I am in the middle of doing hypo on the tank, so it may be stressed, but I doubt, being that it's been in hypo for a while now.
I did get it when it was just a baby, without the vertical bands, and it is just now getting mature enough that the bands are starting to go vertical. is there any way that this is a normal action to swim this way? Or should I post this in the disease forum? Thanks

IMO, it is just a little stressed. Once hypo is done, tell me if he still does the same behavior.

It actually turned white and died unfortunately. I did find a dead parasite of some sort lying dead on the sand - it looked like some sort of worm or grub - but all white/clear. about 1.5 inches long. Hypo must have killed it. I wonder if they are related or not?

wow im sorry. Does it look like a sort of leech? It is possible it was attached to the fish.
