i have been looking for a newer truck since i have only two more payments on the one i have now.knowing once a truck is paid for ,this is when things start to break on them.i have been picking up the free auto mags.noticing that the english versions are about $3000 more for comparable truck than the spanish mags.wonder why?all i know is i am going shopping with my mexican friend when i look to buy.plus hes the kind of guy that loves to talk a salesman down . i noticed the spanish version has alot of pics of smokin hot mexican woman in their ads with their names next to their pics.like really they are going to sell me a truck.almost want to go and see if they really work there.

If you have taken care of your truck and it isn't a Chevy I wouldn't rush to pick up another payment

I have one final payment of $97 on my Dodge QC 1500. It has 140k miles, but it runs real good and instead of $300 a month on payments and insurance, I'll just keep running it and repair it as it breaks down. I just had the wheel bearings repacked and inspected and compression tested the engine and evrything is still tip-top. If I put $1000 a year in repairs I am still WAAAAYYYY ahead of payments and insurance. I've made up my mind until the house is done, I'm not going to buy anything else. A free and clear house is more important than a newer, nicer vehicle. The recession has taught me how fragile (and insane) living a leveraged lifestyle is. With any luck, I'll never be in debt again-for anything.

good for you .no big payments would be awesome.my problem is i use my truck for construction and estimates so i drive 50,000 miles a year.my truck is a 2002.i am going to trade out my friends one ton work truck for staining his livingroom and bedroon floors.so i wont have to trash my only truck anymore and can get a newer truck that will last .i plan to put at least half down and only finance for 24-36 months.i cant see why someone would finance a vehicle for 60-72 months thats nuts.

I think car dealers cater to the clientele, it is assumed that the Spanish speaking people won’t pay the money others do…So they advertize cheaper to draw them in. Good for them and you, since you figured it out and have a Spanish speaking buddy to help you negotiate.

What bothers me is there's a car dealership in Ft. Worth that specifically caters to the Spanish speaking population in that area. I thought the primary language in this country was ENGLISH. If a dealership were to annonce they only deal with English-speaking customers, LULAC, La Raza, and the NAACP would be all over this with all kinds of news headlines. Where's the Anglo version of these groups doing the same for these 'Spanish' car dealerships? The is the United States, not MEXICO.

Another thing to keep in mind. (and I say this and it is PC to say because I am an American of Hispanic Heritage) But in their culture it is a bit more acceptable to be a sleazy used car salesman. I'll bet you they'd sell you a sentra and call it a truck if they could get away with it...
They also aren't as meticulous with the vehicle maintenance. So there may be other reasons you're seeing lower prices.... But that isn't a bad place to look imo. If you can properly assess the condition of the truck...

I dunno the NAALCP might be busy applauding stories of racism at their we hate white people meetings.
