have a 25 Gal Tank with roughly 22-25Lbs of Rock. I'd like to get a RTBA.
Right now I have a 32w 10,000k Daylight/460nm Actinic lighting. Do I need to bump it up? If so, what would you recommend.
It's a fairly new set up <6months so I haven't introduced any corals yet, just the rock and of course fish. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

well is it the reg light that comes with the tank? IMO you dont have enought at all. you need to have at least 3-5 watts per gallon per say. I would look at getting either some MH or at least VHOs. Also what do you have in there for fish?

Littlebuck,
The lighting is a SmartPaq retro fit. As for fish...I have 2 clowns, coral wrasse, lawnmower blenny, Blue Tang, snowflake eel, cleaner shrimp(1), and a "cleaning crew"

well let me be the 1st to say that you have way to many fish in your tank. A blue tang needs at least 75+ gallons and same with the snowflake eel. Also what type of clowns do you have? If you put that anemone in your tank with all those fish you will most likely not be able to keep it alive. and same with coarls. Do you have a skimmer?

wow that is a lot of fish. snowflake needs at least a 55 gallon, as they get about 3 feet, and the tang needs at least a 100 gallon tank.
but for your other question, that isnt near enough light. the best thing to do would be to get metal halides for an anemone

Thanks for the insight. My plan was to upgrade to a larger tank 75+ in about 6 months. So I will wait until I do that before getting any corals or anemone. Oh, and I do have a skimmer and the clowns are percula's.
Thanks again

yeah, i think it would be a good idea to wait until you get the bigger tank, and then get some better lights for the new tank. then you only have to buy one set of lights. good luck!
