Ok guys, I have a question. I have 3 29 gallon Biocubes (1 had a defect and Oceanic did not want it back, 1 is it's replacement NIB, and 1 I purchased in a pinch so I wouldn't lose anything when the defective one started leaking). If I took apart the hood of the broken one and took the lights out, took apart the hood of the NIB one and installed both sets of lights in one hood, would that be enough light to support a clam? I don't want MH's because my tank runs at 77-79* and I figure that I will run too hot with the MH's, and I don't want to buy a chiller. This method would double up the light output and cost me nothing but my time... What do y'all think?
