enough powerhead?

is it ok if im running a 400 gph powerhead along with a 200gph powerhead in my 50 hex?
is that enough movement?

If you are doing a FO or FOWLR its plenty, but if you are doing a reef i would increase to 25x or more turnover rate.

I would have to disagree with that much flow unless your doing strictly SPS a turnover rate of 10x is fine for a fish only and and turn over rate of 15x properly done is fine for a reef. I have a very healthy 90 gallon reef with only a 15x turnover during day and about 12x turnonver at night.
It's more important to have less GOOD flow vrs a lot of flow.

I have 51x turnover in my 40 gallon breeder and maintain mostly softies. I have never had any problems. Some corals love the high flow and some dont. I have areas that are high flow to areas of low flow.
