Is a 3 Gallon Pico enough for a small ( 2-3 inch ) goby and a pistol shrimp or is that too crowded?

I disagree, my lfs has a 3 gallon with a goby and pistol thats been up for a year with no i'll effects. Tank looks great and is full of healthy coral, so the water quality has to be good. Will it be easy to keep up the water quality? No but if you keep up with it, it should be fine. My deco is going to have the pistol shrimp goby combo as soon as my tank cycles.

Stonogobiops nematodes which is the same species that I bought. They are very small and stay around there burrow. If for some reason it get's to big for the tank I will move it to my bigger tank.

Also this lfs isn't like a ***** or anything, they know what they are doing and is run by a husband and wife. I have never even seen a fish with any sort of disease in any of there tanks. So it's not like I was tricked into buying this setup.

i tried to put a clown goby in my 3 gallon
he didnt last 3 days
im still not sure of what happened but i would stay away from fish in a tank that small
i would reccomend a group of sexy shrimp or some other shrimp though

I agree that a fish in a tank this small would be very hard to keep up with. However if you take the proper care it can be done. I have had my high fin goby in the tank for two days now with two pistol shrimp. I take long needle nose tongs and individualy feed my critters so I know there is no extra food in the tank. I also do daily tops offs and do weekly water changes. I will be uploading better pics of my tank tomorrow. I have been able to keep a large colony of rics and a few zoa's happily growing for two weeks now, and just added a Duncan frag that oppened up imediatly after adding it to the tank. So I know my water quality is high, I do not however recomend this tank to a beginer aquarist because the upkeep on this tank is taxing and I am not trying to make it out as being easy.
