I have been drawing up my plans for my DIY hexagon stand, but I question my plans. I am going to have to make two doors on it, because they are so small, so thought two would be just right. I also want the back open for the wiring. I just want to know if there will be enough support for only have 3 (every other) sides? The sides that are "open" (back, and doored sides) will be a full sheet just like the normal other sides, but the center cut out ( something like 1.75 inches on the sides, and something like 4 on the top and bottom. I plan on using some type of 3/4 inch plywood. But not too sure of what kind. I want something that looks decent with a light stain, but nothing really fancy. Let me know what you guys think, I am hoping to start it tomorrow morning!
Also, if it would be better to use a thicker wood, I will take any suggestions!
