I have a Fluval 104 on a 40 gallon tank. I bought the tank from a friend and the filter new, but have no idea what lights I have. I have noticed that people have protein skimmers and all sorts of lighting. Do I need a protein skimmer and can someone suggest some lighting? My lfs suggested some lighting that was about $250. Does that sound right? I am bulding a reef tank. The tank has been set up for about a year. Please suggest any equip I need.
