i would pronouce it like yes, but without the y... so it's es, but not eese, kinda like ehs... does that make sense?
and not to steal the thread, but i hate it when you look for stuff online and learn stuff online, because when you try to say stuff in real life, you're like... wow, that doesn't sound right... like chaetomorpha, or caulerpa, or aptasia... and i can never figure out how to pronounce wrasse, or heniochus... i'm so confused!!!:thinking::thinking:

Same w/me!!!!! I always seem to learn a word i see in a book or online wrong
for example, i always read Halide like Shallow Hal halides lol. Then i went to the lfs and they pronounced it haylides, like what horses eat lol.
Also i needed to buy some Zoecon, and i went to go ask the guy if he had any and i was a bit embarrassed to say it lol. I said it once kinda softly, and he was like, what? Turns out he just hadn't heard me but i said it right! lol

It's like saying "s" except Spanish like. In Spanish they say "e"s real soft.
And the accent is on the e, thats what the ' thing is.
