First off any one else out there using the eshopps skimmer? For a cheap skimmer they blow away the coralife supper skimmer and the seaclone. Both I have owned and used for a year each. so no assumptions there
I posted this on another board so I'm just going to cut and paste
Ok just got my new Eshopps SKimmer PSK-100 picked it up off e*** for a big 51 dollars. Brand new, was nervous that I was going to get a Gen I style but got it today and it has the new pump and the mesh mod ready to go.
This thing is quite compared to my CSS 125 I cant even hear it running in the sump.
Kinda small though ... the foot print online is bigger than the actual foot print. Could have fit the PSK-150 in easy
Gotta say though its pulling gunk out already I just emptied the cup that was half full after only 5 hours.
I messed with my CCS for weeks/months to get it to pull gunk out. This thing out of the box is out doing my CCS125 that I have tinkered and modded for over a year. I'm sold and for 50 bucks im even more happy.
I dumped the cup last night and choked it back to skim a little drier and after 12 hours I have some nice brown gunk in there instead of the green stuff in the pics....So after 24hours using it I'm loven it....cant compare to any other skimmers being that I never owned them or seen them in action. But for a cheap skimmer this one is the way to go IMHO
