ETSS 800 users?

I am setting up a coral propagation system. I have a 125 gallon tank, and 2 90 gallon tanks. I am connecting all the tanks to a central sump, with one big homemade calcium reactor, and one big homemade skimmer...until yesterday.
I found a used ETSS 800 pro protein skimmer for $150.00 without the pump. Needless to say, I bought it.
Now, what size pump should I use. I have a Little Giant 4-MDSC pressure pump. I would like to use it instead of buying another pump, but I am not sure if it will work efficiently. I have an ETSS Reef Devil III on my 120 gallon tank and love it, but this hoss is just a bit bigger. ETSS recommends a Iwaki 55RLT...do you think the Little Giant will work well with this skimmer?

Can't really help with the pump, but this looks like an effective mod for it.

I will consider the Beckett's mod. I already have a few Beckett heads from some DIY skimmers I was experimenting with. Should be a really easy mod. Still curious about the pump. I guess I will hook it up with the Little Giant and see how it goes. If it isn't enough, I guess I can upgrade to a stronger pump later.
