Euro Reef Skimmer

Somebody is selling a Euro Reef RS8. I tried googling this skimmer but did not have much luck. Is it an older model? Does it work well?

IIRC, the RS series was one of the latest models before ER went out of biz.
I can't speak for that model, but our RC-180 kicks butt and takes names.

I used it once. It's rated for an 80g heavily stocked tank. You could probably get by with it for awhile. I was never able to dial it in correctly, and get the water level to stay constant. Other then that, when it did work properly, it skimmed out deep dark muck.

I have to agree with Sax....Good skimmer....might be older, but worth it IMO....How big of a tank are you putting it on? To make them easy to adjust you could do the gate valve mod. It's possible the mod was already done......
Snake I find it hard to believe your couldn't get the water level constant. Sounds more end user than skimmer issue....

I think that someone was messing with the dials when I was gone, actually. My ex-best friend had a habit of thinking he knew better then I did. lol. For $100, it's a great deal.
