Euroreef skimmer

Well, I just unboxed it, everything looks ok except the pump outlet elbow. The picture shows a large radius elbow and I have a standard pvc 90 degree elbow. It's too short to allow the pump to sit on the bottom of the sump. Anyone else got this?

Bigmac, this is what I got, they even labeled the side that goes to the pump.
I got it from a place called Reef fanatic, online.

Thanks BigMac, I just talked to him. They looked at some others and they are the same way. He is going to get in touch with Euroreef about it. If that pump ever drops off the fitting the pump would start spraying everywhere!
My manual says 6-8 inches in the sump, it's low right now because of the amount the skimmer holds. I got a fresh batch brewing ;)
I hope they change it back, this stinks. I can get a chunk of plastic from work to set the pump on so it doesn't fall off.

Big mac, that was a typo, sorry, didnt see it. You need to put more water in like i said before.Im getting my MH from reef fanatic, are they a good site? this is my first time with them..

It sounds like this is a change from Euro reef. I hope not. I got a chunk of pvc under it for now. Great idea BigMac.
I am anxious to see what Euro reef's reply will be!

I got a CS8-2 and had Jeff make it into an external because I didn't have room in my sump. They will do it for any model, they just don't advertise it yet. It is awesome! Actually, it is supposed to be a little more efficient than the internals because it recirculates some of the water before sending it back into the system.

After a few emails explaining the problem Euro-reef is sending me an old style elbow. They seem to be great to deal with. I'm glad there are still places that really put effort into pleasing customers!
