Evaporated Salt?

Do you think it would be ok to take the salt that has formed around the outside of the tank and put in the filter to dissolve and go back into the water?

I just put it in the sump. The filter is fine too and actually better then putting it directly into the tank becasue it will dissolve without potential for harming something in the tank.

I always just toss it back into the tank.It dissolves before it sinks an inch or two...If you have LARGE chunks you should crumble it as you drop it in...

i throw mine in the back of my power filter now i threw it in the tank a few times and the clowns tried eating it would this hurt them? and will the salt being thrown into my filter hurt the biowheels?
