evaporation???

justset up a tenecor 110 simpl plus tank with 3-4 in sand bed and about 50 lbs live rock,right now i have canopy off and no glass covers on it,i have 2 802 hagen pumps returning water from built in sump and a small powerhead on the other side of set up by overflow?it seems that im loosing about an inch of water a day,no leaks at all??? is this normal????????????:help:

Yep. I hafta replace a gallon every night. Thank God for the gurgling overflow on my skimmer or I'd forget!!

thanks for the ino i was gettin worried about it but if its the norm ill live with it.

I live in Illinois, and in the winter when the humidity is very low in the winter, it evaporates like crazy, but in the summer its no nearly as bad...
