cant get the mp3 player to sync with my computer
get a call from hp that they arent fixing the computer they have had for over a month. They say it has liquid in the mother board, but that cant be because it quite working because it was hit by lightning. I think I will just go to bed.

Some rest might make everything seem a little brighter honestly. Sometimes when you are tired things can seem worse than they really are.

If HP has had the computer over a month how could any liquid on the mother board have come from you?
I'd call customer service and chew them a new one for trying to lie to you. You probably wont get anywhere but having a somewhat legitimate excuse to chew someone's head off might make you feel a lot better.

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but get a mac and get an ipod. They work flawlessly together.
Also, if you get a mac and it turns out to have problems, you can go into any apple store and they will fix it in 2-3 days - they have computer tech people on-site every day fixing computers. What's even better is that I had a problem with my macbook pro. I had to take it in two times to get it fixed and both times they couldn't get it working right - it kept turning off for no reason. The third time, they gave me a brand new macbook pro - in the box and everything. I couldn't believe it! My old macbook pro had less RAM, a smaller hard drive, and a slower processor. But every mac is covered under a 1 year warranty, 3 years for an extra $250, and they really stand by their policies that if they cant fix it three times, you get a brand new one. Awesome.
Plus Mac's are so much easier to use... i could go on for days.
Ipods are pretty bulletproof also.

I'm going to be finding out what they say about my son's IPOD soon. He left it in a pocket so my wife sent it thru a full wash and they the dryer. Tryed charging it for 2 days but all it will say is "please wait...very low battery". She's going to carry it to an Apple store.

they may charge you for a new battery - that's the only thing they don't generally cover for older ipods. If it's only a few months old then they could replace it for free while you wait. Don't tell them it went through the wash. They won't help you if you tell them you did something to it that voided the warranty.
