Both of em are from the ocean. They both were put into their own tank so now they are a pair. The only problem is is that they had their own anemone and they were attached to it and then i bought em and put them in my tank without their anemone. Could this cause stress to them.
They are hanging around on the bottom of the tank together and they never seem to swim in the live rock (through the caves and stuff)

I've had my pair of black variant A. polymnus for a year. They are my favorite pair of clowns. Congrats on your find.
As for the anemone, this is a species of clowns that can be very skittish. Throw in a flower pot or piece of PVC so that they have some cover. They are prone to jumping if startled so you may want to put some egg crate on top of your tank if it's an open tank.

its not uncommon for clowns to do that, especially in the beginning. some even mention that behavior like swimming in the front of the tank and never really resting it appears. but they seem to last and do well. My clowns never seemed to rest or sleep, they always swam in place. Im sure they will be fine without "their" anemone. but it is funny how clowns really do think that it is their anemone
