Ok, I'm going to assume you want to know about the false percula clowns (nemo)... they seem to be the most popular species. Care for all types of clownfish is pretty much the same though.
Scientific name: Amphiprion ocellaris
Also known as: Ocellaris Clown, False Clown Anemonefish, False Percula and now NEMO
Adult size: 4 inches
The Ocellaris clown is a hermaphrodite, meaning that it can change --- from male to female in order to form a mated pair. They will host in an anemone, but can be kept without an anemone in a community aquarium.
Offer a variety of fresh or frozen seafoods including frozen mysis, and other small food items. Reef-safe and commonly collected from the Indian Ocean.
I would recommend putting a pair in a 30 gallon. The smaller of the pair will be the male and the larger will become the female.

I dont know much, as i new to this hobby, but ...
They are the coolest fish, or at least my two are. We sit and watch them play in the tanks current, and in the anemone, really neat to watch. They have an easy care level.
I feed mine Formula one marine pellets with garlic. (made by ocean nutrition). Occasionally we will hatch some brine shrimp for them. I hear there is no nutrition in them, but they seem to love them, so i just do it about once a month for a treat.
i've noticed that they will also go after the krill when im feeding the anemone too. (once a week).
They are a really hardy little fish.

HOw many sould i put in a tank?
Also do you live around the Columbus Ohio area?

Just put two... they will form a mated pair and be very happy.
And I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.
Are there any other cheeper fish i can put with nemo...
In a 30 gallon, you have to be very careful not to overstock. But you could probably put a firefish and a clown goby in there with the clowns and be ok. That would be about your limit on fish though, imo.
How long has your tank been set up? What equipment do you have?

I live in Pickerington Oh. There are not that many SWF stores around here. I would stay away from *****, they are cheaper but not worth the trouble saving a few extra bucks. I have not been impressed with Aquarium Adventure on Sawmill, way overpriced. I have talked to two people that used to work there, they both have started their own fish cleaning and tank setting up business, and they also steared me away from AA. I have had good luck at Jack's Petstore at Easton. There are two guys in there that seem like they know there stuff. My next purchase will be from this site. Prices are better, and from what I have heard from others better species also. If you are worried about the $75, buy some snails, crabs, also much cheaper.
If you find southdown let me know. Andersons is supposed to get it in the next couple weeks.

I only have 2 percs in my tank with no other fish. I don't want to risk having the heavy bio load and having nitrate problems down the road. The smaller fish that have been suggested would probably make nice additions. I have put 4 shrimp in there though and I think everything looks perfect. 1 cleaner, 1 blood shrimp, and 2 peppermint shrimp. Just be patient, thats the hard part.
