i am wondering if anyone know how it works? i am renting a house ,the owner thinks i am going to try and buy it by the end of next month.i am not ,i am building a house across the street and just started.now come end of march he will say either buy it or move out.with the timeline i figure i wont be move in ready till the end of april or early may.i know they have to give a 30 eviction but i have heard they need to go to court and that takes time.i am paying rent early every month so thats not an issue.my friend says as long as i pay it takes up to a year to get thrown out??? anyone know i just have to draw this out for 3 months.i do have a friend with a huge 1400 sq ft guest house not far from here he said i can stay at but i would rather not move twice in 2 months.

If you have a lease, then you can stay in the house for the duration of the lease.
If you don't have a lease then your landlord can ask you to leave and go through the eviction process. You will need to access the eviction process information that is relevant to your state, as each state is different. Goggle general information about eviction in Your State, then research the state statutes.
Alternatively, it is not easy to just sell a house these days. You can let him know that you're not buying but would like to extend your rental arrangement until June. That could be beneficial to him as he can plan for what he wants to do with the property rather then suddenly be without a source of income coming from the home. If you go that route, get it in writing. I would rather have that kind of arrangement, then suddenly be wo rental income and have to go through an eviction process.
Also, I would not want an eviction on my history, and yes, it does go down into your history because evictions go through the courts.

good point on the record.it has not gotten ugly .i dont think it will.come next month i am planning to offer to pay for april and let them show the house then.i dont plan in any way to screw them.its not the homeowner i am worried about its the snaky realtor.like you said houses just dont sell too fast now.i was going to buy at first but this house appraised at $150,000 and he is not going under 170,000.it needs too much work and for the money i can build a house for alot ,i mean alot less.i hope common sense kicks in to them and we can come to an agreement.
