Evil Co-Worker..

Oh Pick me pick me.
I have one that drives me nuts.
She has been here longer than dirt has been around. Has a holier than thou attitude.
She refuses to speak to me, which is fine by me.
I personally think it may be a jealous thing. We all switched to 10 hour days last year about this time. I took mondays off and she took fridays. 3 day weekend every weekend. She lasted about 2 months and could not handle it. I stayed on my 10 hour days so I still get a 3 day weekend every week. And if I have a MD appointment I can switch my days so I dont have to use personal time. Same with holidays if they dont fall on a monday. So I essentially get more paid time off because of my 10 hour days.
The 3 bosses in the office like me. I am a good employee and I never report off so occassionally I get a perk. For example once in a while I got pick up lunch. If a patient needs supplies I will drop them off and pick up lunch on the way back. That makes he mad that I get to get out of the office for a wee bit. She on the other hand spends atleast 2 hours a day on personal calls or going for "walks". I personally think my 20-30 minutes of out of office time does not compare.
I helped start a new program at work so my boss told me to delegate some of my easier task to the evil co worker. She got mad at that. WHo do I think I am giving her more work to do. So now all the stuff she use to do for me ( bringing me my morning reports from her filing or supply reqs, etc) does not get done. Every time I dont get them I let the boss know. I know it is kinda like being a tattle tail but if I ask for the stuff I get ignored.
The snide comments must stop though. I am almost at that point where I am going to quit walking on eggshells at work. Being polite to her does not work. So the conclusion I came to yesterday was that if tip toeing around and being polite does not work I am going to no longer be concerned with her. If I want to say it I will.
Going to be interesting.
Sorry for the rant

What are you talking about those are the BEST coworkers. Start an office pool, on who can make her melt down first! The catch is the participant can't get caught, or in reprimanded. And let the games begin!

That has become my main goal in life to make her have a break down.
I get blamed for every thing that goes wrong I might as well start making things go wrong :)

I just recently got fired at the bookstore that I worked for. I called in sick on a Friday, seven hours before work which is plenty of time to find someone else. The GM said that if I didn't come in, that I wouldn't have a job when I got back. Well, I was too sick to even get out of the house, so I didn't make it. I went in on Sunday when the GM told me not to clock in. So, I gathered my things, showed her the doctors note saying that I was sick and told em' that I was offended that I did not have enough integrity for them to believe that I was sick.
The GM and a couple of the other petty managers there used to make all the white people work hard and clean up the entire store and let the African Americans sit in the back and look at the magazines while everyone else worked. Very unfair workplace. Since I had worked there in about 8 months, they probably went through about 30 to 40 new people like it was nothing.
Jeez I hate bad managers.
So, this last Monday, I recently found a job as a waiter at a local seafood restaurant. No complaints so far and the benefits and cash tips are great!

If that is a corporate bookstore, I think you need to go to their HR department. Might as well have some fun, if they're going to mess around with you...

I don't have any evil co workers, just a few that are stoopid for their life choices. My prime example is one kid, 22years old, works for our customer service department answering phones. He is a left handed pitcher with a 95+mph fastball (yes, its true, he is certified). In HIGH SCHOOL he was being scouted by MLB teams (white sox, philles, royals, and a few others) All certified, and has showed me the letters and proof. Upon graduating, he elected to take his free ride to college on a baseball scholarship. During his freshman year, he blew out his shoulder twice. The doctor said he would need basic shoulder surgery (3 minor incisions with laser repair). It would be 9 months of rehab, and he'd be back to pitching probably better than ever before.
Here is my problem with it...
Instead of getting surgery and continuing his baseball career to eventually become a MLB pitcher, he dropped out of school, smoked a ridiculous amount of maryjane and got very obese. Has never gotten surgery, and makes $12.50/hr talking to customers. Everyday he "wishes he could play baseball" and says this to us. All he has to do is get surgery, rehab his shoulder and start playing locally, eventually working his way something greater! Or just try out for the minors directly!
How can someone just give that up!? He's 22!!! 9 months at 22 is nothing!!! He still pitches upper 80mph fastballs with a blown shoulder, rehab would make him a dominate left hander on the field! I just don't understand, and his only reason is he doesnt' want to do the rehab. That's his only reason... well the only one he tells us.

That hurts, I'd given my left nut to have that arm, (uninjured of course.) Sounds like Josh Hamilton...
I could tell you all kinds of coworker stories from when I was in college. Now I just sit back and grin, because in keeping up with them, (thank you facebook) because most of them are still in retail. whahaha

Well I got fired today. It's a shame you cant fire black people without ending up with a lawsuit for being racist these days. If he was white i'm pretty sure he'd be a goner.
I'm actually a little relieved, if you will. I hated that job and never wanted to open my eyes in the morning. My reef plans are going to be on short hold til I can pickup another job.

All of us have co-workers we don't like or doesn't like us. We are adults and getting even and or not speaking is childish. Conduct business and leave the petty silly childish stuff out of the work place. That is how I have kept the same job for 33 years.

Don't lie, you would give your left nut to have that arm injured....80 miles an hour is nothing to sneeze at.
Is it just me or does this thread have a strong racial undertone to it?

Doesn't get much worse then getting murdered and stuffed in a wall by the rat cage custodian.
I have definitely had a couple of bad experiences with a few hateful, even evil, co-workers over the years. And then there are just the irritating people that you'd like to avoid, but don't seem able to.

I can throw 80. Well in college I was throwing 80 to 82 mph across the diamond. Today, not so much.

No doubt
...How strange is this story coming to play... I studied criminology for a bit in college, and came across some really crazy stuff, but this is just odd in a different light. This is far different, to me, from the "shoot em' up" types.

Ah the advantages of only 3 weekly employees...
Me my boss, then the owner and sometimes his wife.
They never read this board, so I'll post it, I like em all! I give them a hard time, but that's only cause no one else will.
I am one lucky individual.

If you can find an owner of a small business, with integrity and has a good business model that is the way to go.

I did too! It was after I saw the integrity that I asked him...bugged him, for a job. Work is 27 miles away and It's not a college grad type of position if you know what I mean... It's worth it.
