i have Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition 1.0. It is more grunt work then the software being smart. There is a feature to turn the picture to black and white, and another feature to make selections. So i had to trace around the worm bit by bit selecting the background and turning it B&W. it took about 10 min. If you looked really close you would be able to see the background in color arround the worms edges, but from a normal view it looks like the worm is the only thing in color.

new noob.. the cam is doing great.. and if you looking for one in that price range go with the one i got, or the next model up( only a little bit more, wish i knew that when i bought it).. i fully recomend it, amazing shots and very easy to use.. and yes you can get all kinds of different lenses for it.. i might get a macro lens for it just to see how much closer i can really get lol.

If you have photoshop it's simple. Duplicate the layer that your picture is on. This layer will now be on top. Desaturate this layer and it will be black and white.
You now have two layers, black and white as the top layer, and color as the bottom. Select the top layer and get your eraser tool. Erase the area that you want in color. It's MUCH easier than selecting the area.
Gimme a few minutes and I'll post one up.
