Exquisite or Scott's (Fairy) Wrasse?

OK, getting ready to order fish for my currently empty (of fish) 65 gallon reef. I plan to get a pair of Citron Gobies, but not sure which wrasse to get. Anybody have suggestions or experience to share with either the Exquisite, Scott's (Fairy), or maybe even another wrasse? My criteria (and I'm open to other possibilities) in order of importance are:
  • Reef Safe
  • Size (love the greenbird, but gets big)
  • Personality (outgoing vs. shy, plays well with others)
  • Looks
Later, I'll be adding (unless I change my mind, of course):
2 Clarkii or Maroon Clownfish (mated pair)
1 Juv. Naso Tang (will have a larger FOWLR tank by the time he outgrows the 65)
1 Madarin Dragonette (I added 2 detrivore kits to the refugium, and should have a good 'pod population by the time I'm ready for this one)
After I get the bigger tank and move the Tang, I'll probably add a Jawfish and possibly a Royal Gramma to the 65.

Could you explain to me what you mean when you said you added 2 detrivore kits to the refugium.( I am not sure what a refugium is, I know its stupid) Where did you get the det. kits from?
Also I have never had any experience with wrasses, but where do you plan on getting one at. I would try to get a mystery wrasse or the Red-Headed Solon Fairy Wrasse if you can. If you have seen a mystery wrasse, they are beautiful, but very pricey(200 dollar range).
Here is a link if you haven't seen onehttp://www.***********.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?siteid=21&pCatId=355
Hope that helps

a refugium is another tank that has a DSB some LR rubble and all sorts of macro algaes. It is used to provide a food source for some fish and it also helps in preventing algae growth and helps eliminate nitrates.
BTW...that mystery wrasse is downright scary looking!!! I don't think I want a fish in my tank that smiles back at me!!! I think i'm gonna have nightmares about that fish!!!

How does the refugium connect to your main tank or does it?
So you are just going to keep the Mandarin in the refugium?
So I could have a 10 gallon with a DSB below my 55 and connect them to each other and save money on a DSB for the 55(since I have one in the 10 that connects to the 55)
I really hope that is making sense and sorry for my lack of knowledge.
The mystery wrasse is pretty, but it better talk to me for that price

I ordered a detrivore kit from Inland Aquatics and another from Indo-Pacific Sea Farms. More info on them is on my website: http://www.wdcnet.net/edward/critters.html
Info on the sump refugium setup (click on the "schematic" link on this page):

The 'pods the madarin feeds on multiply in the refugium, and eventually get sucked up the return into the main tank, so there is food there for the mandarin- I won't "lock him in the basement" LOL.
Pics of the mystery wrasse look cool, but I'd want to see one in person at that price... and he'd better do more than just talk!

I definately agree on the Fairy Wrasses. The first fish i ever planned on getting for my 30 gal. was a Scotts Fairy Wrasse i have never seen a real one, but the pictures are amazing. Luckily i work at the Local Fish Store and i know prices on most things and got something cheaper but as cool. The Scotts is gonna run you 50-100 bucks... They should be pretty hardy..?
I ended up getting a Lubbucks Fairy Wrasse Instead, and he is really cool, peaceful.. he did fight with the pair of tomatoe's i added but they get along fine now. He is reef safe.. and with the right lighting he looks really cool, and is not that shy after he gets used to your tank. He is only about 5 inches though.. so he wont be very big ever..
