false percula's

hi, everyone i have a few questions. what makes them false percula's? what the different between the real ones and fake ones? will the false ones host an anemone?

I believe true and false percula have different type of fins. Both, in fact I think all, host anemones.

The difference between "false" (aka: Ocellaris Clownfish) and True Perculas are the black bands that borders the white bars. On True Percs, they have thick black borders whereas the false clowns have thin black borders.

the 1st is a true percula
the 2nd is a false percula ( Ocellaris Clownfish)

If this helps too. They are both wild caught as well as aquacultured. As I have been lead to believe in the past the false were always conveyed to me as being tank bred and the true were wild caught. The truth is they are 2 different types of percula's true and false both found in the wild, and both capable of being tank raised. Which may answer the question about why their behavior is so different once introduced to your tank. Where the tank raised ones wouldnt be affected by a new environment and welcome people because thats all they know. Or the standoff attutude of the wild caught clowns that are not used to tanks and or changing environments. Just my 2 cents. :joy:
