Difference : (hope I'm correct)
False; have thin black border next to white bands
True; have thick black borders next to white bands as they reach adulthood.
Which is better :
Personal preference. I like tank-raised best because they aren't as aggressive as wild clowns. They do have to have an anemone for host. Most clowns do well without them. Again, it's a matter of preference.
Which on eI like :
I prefer tank-raised Ocellaris Clowns.
my preference is for the false percs (ocellaris). I tried both. for me the true percs died in just a couple days while my ocellaris seemed my hardier and are still around. another nice clownfish are the pink skunks. but they are not as lively and friendly as my ocellaris.
I also think there is a size difference, I could be wrong. But if I remember correctly one gets 3" and the other 6". I could be thinking of two other types of percs though. I have a 12 gallon and can only have 6" of fish so I know can have 2 of one kind, but not the other.
