Sorry Dburr, I couldn't find any info on that fan. Try the rubber spacer, and if that doesn't work, it could be the turbulence from the blades. You could fashion an intake enclosure so that the air is drawn from behind the tank and pulled into the fan. This would smooth the airflow and reduce fan noise(not vibration noise though). Another option, which really is a much better one, although with additional expense. Find a 12V DC power supply that will supply about 10 watts or more, and pick up a fan or two that are used on computer cases. These fans (though not all of them) are very quiet. Lastly, you could get a 120V light dimmer switch and wire that to the fan so that you can reduce it's speed and reduce the noise greatly. You may want to ask the people that you bought the fan from if this is okay, otherwise, you can try it and if it doesn't work you can use the dimmer for the lighting in one of your rooms and go with one of the other options. That's about all the ideas I have, maybe someone else can shed better light on this. If you need sources for parts, let me know.
