Farm Raised Bumblebee Grouper?

have you guy heard of this? I was at a LFS and there was a bumblebee there that was about an inch long and 20 bucks. It didn't have the same spotted pattern as a full grown one and I asked the guy, he said that it was farm raised and that his colors would get better then a wild one. Does anyone know if this is true or if there is some other reason this fish is 20 instead of 100 bucks.
thanks,
ED

I don't know that I would buy into all that, but if it truely is a Bumblebee Grouper, I wouldn't advise buying it anyway for the home aquarium, as they can grow to 8 feet.:scared: not many tanks, that's going to fit in. $.02

I aggre with you, I don't want to wrestle it out of the tank when it's 700 pounds, I was just wondering if you had heard of farm raised ones.

Ive heard of tank raised. It funny you mentioned this because I just saw one about an inch long that was listed as tank raised. I would imagine this is the same thing. Ive never seen another bumblebee except the tank raised one incher, a 2 footer the same store has had for 5 years and my own bumblebee that is about 12 inches right now. Very rare in the aquarium trade, because of size I would imagine. Mine is quite mean as well.....
