par and output of light, T5's are far superior to compact, the T6 are a little larger diameter bulb and the thought is the same wattage as T5 just more surface area makes it better. T5's with the individual reflectors are almost comparable to the output of halides in a shallow depth tank, say 20 inches deep.

T6's arent worth a crud.......also, regular T5's arent that powerful either. T5HO's are very powerful.

+1 the only thing that separates what you are asking is the diameter of the bulb. Put an HO in front of the T5 and now its a different animal all together. Coupling the HO T5's with individual reflectors makes all the difference in the world. And that is something that is not available with PC's.
