whats everyones favorite coral? i want to turn the tank i am getting into a reef and i wanna see the corals you guys have.

Zooanthids are always a good choice and very easy to take care of.

Don't ask me why, but I like my hammer. I have more colorful, faster growing, "cooler" corals, but the hammer is my favorite.

This was the first thing I ever put in my tank(orange tree sponge). I bought it from SWF. It was about 6 to 7 inches with 6 branches. Oh how we've grown. Its now 10 to 12 inches with 10 branches

The best thing for you to do is plan out every coral you get. Decide what kinda reef you want to make it whether it be lps, softies or a mix. You don't want to just buy something that you don't want for a long time. Ya know. I did that and now im doin some sps and gettin rid of some softies. But you don't wanna start off with softies.

dont even have my tank yet lol they are breaking it down next weekend and i dont remember what lights it has but it was an aggressive tank and i will prolly upgrade to metal halides after i get everything all set up and when i can afford them

If you do buy lights, get halides. You could always buy vhos, but you will want to upgrade in the future. Might as well get the best...

yup thats what my parents said get the best so you spend less in the long run lol thats y i am starting my tank as 125g instead of 55 and upgrading later and stuff lol. i got a great deal on my tank though. 500 for a 125g tank, stand, hood, lights, filter(s), skimmer, powerhead(s), and other stuff of which i dont remember lol. we were gonna get a great bucket lookin filter but the wife said that her husband was a bit to generous lol. they are upgrading to a 220 and the guy that is selling it is tearing his down this week so we will hopefully get our tank next weekend

no prob man take it slow. you for sure wanna start out with the best. sounds like a good deal for the tank. are you getting rock with it? take it slow and in awhile you will probably wanna try some kind of sps...
