Favia brain...

I just moved my tank this weekend and everything came away undamaged besides my favia brain.
When i got to the package i noticed it had the brown jelly on it. I dipped it twice in the last two days and no success has come out of it. The brain is gradually decreasing in the green and is almost all the way gone.
So..two questions.
1. How can i stop it from dying?
2. Will it ever regrow?

I would cut of the dead part and give it lots of flow, see if it comes back. i bought one that was totally white except for a small section on the end. I had watched it go from a healthy favia to almost completely white in my lfs tank He finally sold it to me real cheap, all i got was a 1x3 frag by the time i cut off the dead, but its gotten larger in the last few months.
