Favorite Mini Series

What are some of the all time best mini series on TV. I caught a few of my favorite this weekend on the History Channel, "The Band of Brothers". I believe it originally aired on HBO about 10 years ago. It is a great WWII history lesson, following Easy Company (true story) through their battles in Normandy, Belguim, and ultimately Germany.

Yeah, I think I've seen all the Band of Brothers pieces like 3 or 4 times; it's really good, and you get even more caught up with the characters because it's true.
Recently, though, I really enjoyed the Tin Man miniseries on Sci-Fi, mostly because my girl Zooey Deschanel was in it. The 2003 BSG miniseries was great too, especially since it kicked off the actual series after being so popular. I'm a sci-fi geek, can't you tell?

Also from the Sci-Fi channel... Dune. I read the book ages ago and the David Lynch movie was great but didnt really follow the book that well. The miniseries was excellent though.

Band of brothers is great, I have the collection but never seen them all
. Something to do this summer I guess.
My favorite mini-series was Lil Bush, which was a series but quit mid season.
I personaly think the government got onto them and shut them down, but that's just me.

Easy company, 506th regiment, 101st airborne. Stormed normandy, took 4 german machine guns, went thru holand o the front lines, went through Bastogne while completely surrounded at the front lines, given the nickname "Bloody

[hr]
of bastogne", found one of the first concentration camps, took hitlers Eagles nest, they took 150% casualties. Yeah... i know a thing or two about them. Phenomenal book, everyone should read that and watch the movie series.
The discovery channel "blue planet" and"planet earth" are great too.
