feather duster being attacked

some of my hermits are eating the tube of my feater duster, is this going to kill it or is this natural. its bugging me not knowing wha i should do? any help is appreciated

are you sure that your feather duster is not dying already and the hermits are just doing there job and cleaning up...they are very good at smelling death. Try moving the feather duster to a different spot in the tank and see what happens.

they were doing this the day i got it, then stopped for a while, now they r doing again. ive moved it three times now. any thoghts?

there could just be some dirty or algae or something on it?
my hammer coral had this brown stuff on the base and my hermits were pickin it off for a while

i guess thats possible except for the fact that the tube is slowly going away, but the duster comes out often when its not being bothered. what do u guys think
