ok so i went out and bought this really cute pink feather duster, they told me they are really easy to care for... so i put him in, slid the end (ugly) part of him behind the rocks with his head out... the urchin hangs out back there, he tore a little pice of the back bart and i freaked out, so near the base of the rocks i dug the sand out, put the bass in there and left like 2in out, hes out and bigger than i have seen him, can it be cuse his tube was screwd with, or dieing.... will he be ok

Im no expert on feather dusters, but when mine are out, I dont worry too much
It's when they're staying in the tube that I worry
he's out to eat I'd say

+1...out is a sign it is feeding..a sick or dying feather duster loses its crown or stays hidden inside the tube. A very unhappy duster will leave the safty of its tube...so out is good and bigger than ever is great.
