Feather Duster Mobility

I buried the foot of my new feather duster in the sand. This morning he uprooted himself and is laying on the sand bed. Will he keep slowly moving until he finds a "happy place". Do they dislike lots of current? Should I move him?

I put mine next to a piece of decorative coral and it attached itself there. I keep mine in very little current so that it does not blow around.
