Feather Duster Wont Come out?

I bought a feather duster about 9 or 10 days ago and have yet to see the feather portion pop out...
Is it dead? I haven't seen the plume since it disapeared inside the tube at the LFS when he bagged it.
Is there any way to tell if it is alive?
Nevermind, just looked into the tube, nothing even in it. It prob bailed at the LFS. Weak.... or it's somewhere in my tank, dead, dormant, whatever
total waste of money lol

Maybe - mighta bailed in your tank as well. I had one do that once. Assumed it was gone - three weeks later - feather duster!

Yeah, i've read other people say that as well. hopefully that'll happen with me, who knows though. only time will tell i suppose
