feather dusters on ricordia branch

I purchased a ricordia from SWF.com and have had it for about 6 months or more. Well I just noticed that the branch that it came on now has 2 of the prettiest feather dusters (I'm assuming because they have no tubes they just come out of the branch) on it. Is there any way I can keep the ricordia from growing over the top of them? Maybe someone could help me ID them also. They have a really deep purple goose down type feather that extends directly out of the rock. When they withdraw you can't even tell that they are there. Thanks for any help!

They probobly are not the feather dusters that you see in the the store. The only get about that a quarter inch across or so, but your in luck most of them will reproduce to populate your tank with loads of little life.;)
