Feather Dusters

Has anyone had any success with feather dusters? My tank has been up for seven months or so (10g), 20 lbs live sand (added two weeks ago), 5 lbs live rock (three weeks ago), Perc Clown, and five blue legged crabs. Pretty stable according to the test kits I have. Are feather dusters hard to keep, or unstable? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

They are very easy to keep. They will probably need a little bit of feeding, but should do fine. They are great for caves or low light areas because they don't need light.

I assume when you say your numbers are stable, you also mean they are whithin acceptable range, cause they don't like 'trates. But they are easy, and Most pretty cheap too.

My nitrates run at about 12.5, amonia/nitrites have been zero for a long time (and everytime I test).
How do you feed them? Is there a special way to give them food?

Use phytoplankton, and a plastic syringe. Inject the phyto into the water column that flows into the "feathers" of the worm.
DT's phytoplankton is one of the best out there because it is live phyto. Kents works as well. Most tanks can produce a certain amount of its own phyto, its simply plant life.
