You'll need to feed them phytoplankton, but as long as you have proper conditions they should do fine.

Some of it occurs naturally from your tank, like when you scrape that green film algea off of the glass.
DT's phytoplankton is a very popular mix
Kents phyto is also good, but the DT's is live phyto and better for the system.

Now, being that feather dusters are filter feeders, i assume they need good circulation. So in turn i would have to buy a powerhead ...is this correct?
