Feather Dusters

My Feather duster has popped the feathers off!! Does this mean he's dead? Why would this happen? I have 3 others in my tank and they all look healthy.

He was probably stressed out. Does not mean he is dead. It happened to mine then they grew back.

The first time it happened I made the mistake of ripping him out. About 2 months later he was growing back
