Feather dusters????

I have found a bunch of tiny tubes in my tank. Looks like very tiny feather dusters sprouting from them. Too small to get a good pic. Any ideas?

Very common. I have over 20 of them that I can view on 40 pounds of LR.

Ok... not the best picture but it will do. You need to look close. Your nose should be touching the computer screen. The red arrows are pointed at the feather itself. You can see the white tube.

Yep, I'd say it feather dusters. Ive got hundreds that look identical.

These things are beautiful and benefitial, but are you happy or disapointed that you have a colony of them?

The ones I find in my tank are usually a white tube with red feathers. Very small and don't seem to get big, cool none-the-less.
