just a quick question if anybody can answer--is it normal for a feather duster to hide back down in his tube whenever a fish goes near it??I have a clown that keeps trying to host a feather duster but the feather duster keeps hiding when any fish goes near it,there is other feather dusters in the tank and don't exibit the same behavior..

I would be worried if they didn't retract when fish go by!
This is natural behavior, reacting to precieved danger by retracting.

Yes, it's called survival! A feather duster that cannot or will not retract into its tube is considered by many, lunch.....It is a defense mechanism
